That’s it!  46 years is enough.  Stress for breakfast and running all out all of the time eventually wears you down.  It’s high time to transition to “a retired investor living on a pension.”  That said, it has been both enjoyable and FUN! 

I have also learned a lot from negotiating between two parties who hold different positions of power to working hyper-efficiently, to internet marketing, industrial espionage, and the art of gentle persuasion (I can’t make anybody do anything they don’t want to do).  I am quite glad that I’m getting out before I have to learn the intricacies of AI marketing.  😊 

Unlike some recruiters, I’ve always focused on being an honest broker and avoided those companies that made a habit of not treating their people well.  I hope that I’ve been able to help my clients to build stronger companies and help candidates build better lives by helping them advance their positions and work at better companies. 

Moving forward I am happy to help in any way I can.  If former clients want help vetting candidates or if people want my take on vetting potential employers, I am always happy to provide my two cents – as someone who doesn’t have any skin in the game.  Maybe you would like some advice on how to handle difficult negotiations?  Phones and email will be left on until the end of 2027 although I may not be as quick getting back to you as I used to, but I will get back. 

I advise everyone to retire while they’re still able to do the things that they didn’t have time to do while they were working.  At the end of the day, I hope I was able to make a difference.
